About Troy
Transformational coach Troy Byer speaks from personal experience. As a child of divorce, survivor of the foster care system and a single-parent, troy-speaks Troy knows first-hand how easy it is to give into feelings of depression and defeat. “There was a time when that voice in my head continuously reminded me that I was a victim of neglect–that I was unlovable," says Troy. "Then one day, something wonderful happened, I opened my mouth and created a new conversation about myself. When we change our conversation about ourselves, we instantly change our experience of ourselves.”

In her new book Ex-Free: 9 Keys to Freedom After Heartbreak, Troy offers practical, no-nonsense insight into owning up, getting over, and putting the past where it belongs – behind you. The “secret” to Ex Free success is learning how to make your pain work for you instead of against you. Troy's book Ex-Free was recently ranked #4 on Amazon's Self-Help Bestsellers list. According to Troy, "The 9 keys offered in Ex-Free teach individuals how to free themselves from heartbreak and open their hearts to a deeper love; self love." Ex-Free also shares the secret behind Troy's current, unconventional and incredibly close friendship with her ex-husband, his fiancé, his fiancé’s ex-husband and wife. Troy’s fortitude and ability to excel in all she does is a true testament to her hard-hitting approach to triumph over difficulties.
